Whoa, Dirty Beaver is sure desperate. Trolling all X360 news again? Don't you have PS3 games to play? It's the year of PS3 after all, with God of War 3, GT5, Heavy Rain and Trico! Oh wait...
Sony? Ready to release on time? Like the 2009 line-up of God of War 3, Heavy Rain and GT5?
@Above: How about using your finger as a trigger? Grab a toy pistol and fire away - since Natal recognises over 40 points on human body, I imagine the fingers are covered.
EDIT:
@Game13a13y: You don't have to scan anything to play. For simplicity, you can use a toy pistol for all types of guns. Still, I don't think anyone will play Call of Duty with motion controllers (be it Natal or PSDildo). Besides, how do you imitate different guns win twin dildos? Not awkward at al...
I call BS on this one. PSEye doesn't have enough resolution for sub-milimeter anything. 640×480 pixels @ 60 Hz is simply not enough. Dude, it doesn't even scan EoJ cards 100% of the time (a slight misalignment or lighting change is enough to make it stop working).
@Game13a13y: How about you grab a plastic sword or a wooden stick to wave around? Problem solved! But to see that you'd have to be a gamer, not a blind fanboy.
People who actually played it say that there is slight lag in Ricochet (not game-breaking though), but no lag in Burnout. I'm willing to believe them. Besides, at least MS is confident enough to let people try Natal out. Sony gave us a rushed presentation with two nervous students, a prototype dildo and a coffee table. You don't know how much of it is BS and nobody can verify it. And since it's set for a Spring 2010 release, it's going to be rushed and not tested properly. I'll take lagless 3...
You know, walking would be easy. Just an idea of a control scheme: sit on a couch, take a toy pistol in your hand - the trigger shoots, your movements aim, additional gestures reload or do other stuff. Walking? Move your feet left - you strafe left. Move your feet forward - you run forward. Tadaa...
@cmrbe: So you know how this plays? You've obviously played the game, because you don't make things up, right?
Wait a minute. I thought PS3 fanboys were playing "teh superior PC version!" anyway, so they wouldn't play an inferior PS3 port, would they?
Meh, worst parts of Gears of War 1 look better than this. The art direction is poor, the animations are stiff, the environments look like underground Gears levels (only worse), the weapons look boring and the whole thing just lacks style. So far it doesn't even go near Gears 1 (not to mention GeoW2).
Obviously, because Microsoft will immediately ban anyone who uses a regular controller. We'll be playing Modern Warfare 2 by pointing our index fingers at our TVs and shouting 'Bang!'. Back under your bridge.
But then they're not PS3 gamers - they're PC gamers.
Don't play it then.
It's hilarious how people jump to conclusions based on three letters. They see P, O and C and they immediately know the platforms, characters, gameplay mechanics and control scheme. Okay, let me try: we can only see Raiden's one eye, so it's O and E. This means zOnE - Zone of the Enders. The background is black. Html code for black is #000000 - a lot of zeroes. Zone of the Enders Zero - a prequel. We still have P, C and O letters. This one's easy - P stands for Party Game, a set of mini-games...
Why do people freak out over disagrees?
@The Holy Trinity: But, but they rate other PS3 games high to hide their bias!
Okay, so go buy Uncharted 2 and TRICO. You guys seem to enjoy these games a lot (also GT5, GoW3 and Heavy Rain), so why don't you go and play them now?
That's why Killzone is in the MLG... oh wait.
Halo 3 is more accessible than Killzone 2 (mostly because of KZ2's sluggish controls). At the same time H3 requires more skill online. For example: there are shields, so you have to stay on target a little longer and can't just spray'n'pray or spam grenades for a lucky kill. Even if you shoot someone in the back, there's still a chance that he'll turn around and blow you away before he goes down. Killzone 2 is more like Call of Duty...
No, but MAG is laggy and generic and GoW3 is 2010.
